UK spectrum policy must be conducive to early, widespread deployment of LTE

The UK government is intending to auction a substantial amount of 800MHz and 2.6GHz spectrum, as well as allowing refarming of 900MHz and 1800MHz spectrum for next-generation mobile broadband services. Recently, the UK Government published a Consultation on a Direction to Ofcom to Implement the Wireless Radio Spectrum Modernisation Programme.
